The first project shown started with us securing the drip edge. We then put down our underlayment and secured it with nails and waterproofing tape. We made sure to fit it snugly in the eaves and over the ridges to prevent water from seeping in. We then installed our shingles in an offset pattern and added our hip caps to finish it off.

This was by far my most difficult build because I am deathly afraid of heights. The other aspect of this build that made it so difficult was actually achieving the offset pattern of the shingles, especially when going into eaves and over ridges. Thankfully, through this project, I was able to overcome my fear and I definitely feel a lot more comfortable being on a roof.
